ESL
“English as a Second Language” classes meet on Thursday mornings on Zoom, under the auspices of the local International Friendship Ministries office. Conversational English Practice is at 9:00 followed by the English Class from 10-11:00. They have a Facebook group: “ESL at EPC”.
Sign Language Instruction
“Sign Language Instruction” occurs on prearranged days and times on Zoom. Individual students work for a half-hour each week with the EPC member who is a certified sign language interpreter. They must have successfully completed the free, independent-study American Sign Language lesson of the week, available through ASL University online. In addition, once a week an advanced student, who is studying to be a foreign missionary to the Deaf, is mentored. Sign language interpreting services are available during our services. Special events for the deaf community are sometimes hosted by EPC.
