Let no one despise your youth but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity
1 Timothy 4:12
At EPC we believe that investing in today’s youth is necessary in growing the body of Christ. Through our youth ministry, we seek
- to prepare young people to be lifelong disciples of Christ.
- to respond to the needs and interests of young people.
- to be connected to the whole church, the community, and the world.
- to reach out to all young people and invite them to become a part of our community of faith.
- to serve, support, and empower young people.
- to build lasting relationships with peers, with adults, and with God.
The Youth Ministry at EPC strives to foster confidence in Christ by empowering our youth to:
- celebrate uniqueness.
- practice spiritual discipline.
- engage in service, Bible studies, and other opportunities for spiritual growth in a safe and fun community of peers and loving adults.
EPC’s Youth Group:
- is a group of young people from grade 6 through grade 12
- gather weekly at the church for worship with NaEisha Owens.
- join in biweekly weekend outings, such as going to dinner, going bowling at Stars and Strikes, or attending a “River Retreat” at the Massey’s.
- participate in service projects, such as serving breakfast at Ronald McDonald House or entertaining senior citizens at a retirement home.
“The Edge”
- is a group of young people between the ages of 18 and 23.
- is a ministry specifically designed to help college students make connections and find spiritual support as they transition from childhood to adulthood.
