Glorifying God by Making Disciples of Jesus Christ

A Note from Session

Dear Edgewood Family,   The Lord is yet again doing a new thing at Edgewood Presbyterian. As Connie revealed at the end of worship today, she will retire at the end of her contract on May 15. She will remain the moderator of the session, but she will no longer be our pastor.   We have plans to make this transition as smooth as possible. We will recruit help from among our gifted congregation to lead in the areas of pastoral care and administration. Susan and Pete will continue to preach once a month, and we will invite both familiar and new voices from the community to fill our pulpit this summer.   We are at work on a Mission Study that will help us chart the next steps for our church. Very soon, we will begin seeking new pastoral leadership by forming a Pastor Nominating Committee. We are thankful for the congregation’s feedback and hopes, which you shared with us at lunch on February 11.   We are grateful for our faithful staff. JoAnna, Sue Ellen, Eunmee, and NaEisha will continue to support our fellowship with their many gifts. In addition, we are currently seeking student singers to participate in our choir from among the CSU music community. Those students will bring new faces and welcome support to our devoted choir.   The Lord has led us and will continue to lead us in faithful and fruitful gospel ministry. We will keep you updated as we have more information to share. If you have any questions, please contact your elder shepherd.

Yours in Christ’s love,
The Edgewood Session
